The education system in UK attracts most students making it a hot spot for international students. It is one of the most popular student destinations currently. Why? It has one of the most flexible systems for education. This comes as no surprise as this country has a lot of internationally recognized universities and qualifications such as the Oxford, Cambridge, London School of Economics etc. They provide quality education as it maintains a high standard of teaching and is routinely assessed by reviewing bodies.


The education system in UK makes universities have strong research infrastructure to give students access to vast researching facilities and laboratories. Other perks such as a one year's Masters and MBA Degree makes it convenient for students to study here. It has a strong Asian community so Indian students can live there comfortably. Thus, the UK is one of the best destinations for a student to pursue higher education. The exam requirements vary of the course you intend to pursue. However, either TOEFL or IELTS scores are usually required by every institute to show your fluency in the English language. For MBA students need to score adequate marks in GMAT along with 2 to 3 years’ work experience and a good IELTS/TOEFL score. Students also need to be in 1st or 2nd division in the Bachelors of an equivalent British degree. Masters in the UK also requires you to graduate with a Bachelors in an Equivalent British Degree with IELTS/TOEFL scores. GRE is optional as most universities in the UK don’t ask for GRE scores.


There have been many concerns over BREXIT regarding job markets and economy. But not much change is expected at least in the next two years. Students can get a work permit after completion of studies by converting their Tier 4 Visa into Tier 2 Visa (for Entrepreneurship) or Tier 1 Visa (General Visa for Jobs).Although the visa system prevents you from staying while looking for work. It is important to note that life in the UK is costly and thus most students opt to work part-time while studying. Also, scholarships are available mostly for Postgraduate or Doctorate degrees.


Unlike the system of a series of tests, homework, quizzes, class activities and final exams adding to the overall performance of the student, in the United Kingdom, a series of exams or the final exam carries 100 % of the weight in deciding the performance of the student. Not only the students are required to start education a year early compared to the United States system, but students also carry out specialized studies much earlier than their United States counterparts. Students aged till 16 are required by law to attend School and finish their education while many students continue till 18 for their chance at prestigious universities.
